WMR N.O.W Online Conference

Late this year in October the WMR Ultranet Team is hosting an online conference. N.O.W stands for Navigating an Online Conference and the main themes are around - Communication, Collaboration and Creativity. We are hoping to have many of our teachers and leaders participate in the conference and have started to build a great program to support educators with these three themes. The conference will be open first to the WMR and then to others. The online conference will be followed up by face to face workshops where the participants can engage in the tools discussed in the online conference. Dates - October 7 - 9th, 2008. 4 out of 5 found this valuable. Do you? |

I like the idea of followup after the online conference. Nothing beats face to face contact and I wonder how people who know little or nothing about web2.0 go once the sessions are finished. Hope it is not too overwhelming for them.

The online discussions and presentations will be the 'why' whilst the follow up sessions will be the 'how'. The other good thing about our conference is that we support the schools in our region as part of our role as Ultranet Coaches. We have established relationships already (we hope) and are able to support in an ongoing fashion. Fingers crossed we don't overwhelm them.
